“Yoga is the restraint of the modifications of the mind. Only then [in this restraint] the Seer is established in his own essential nature. Otherwise, humans identify with the modifications [of their mind].”
~ Yoga Sutras of Patanjali I,2-4
Meet Your Teacher
Jessica Natalia
I am a 500 hour Yoga Teacher who has led numerous yoga classes specializing in Yin, Restorative, & Vinyasa yoga styles. Having worked in the corporate world for almost a decade as a Certified Public Accountant, Accounting Manager, and Financial Controller,
I have personally seen and experienced the near-traumatic levels of burnout that pervade the workplace today. I have both seen and felt the physical, mental, and emotional stress of just running in the rat race. Stress that almost broke me spiritually.
As a result, I realized that I could not show up as my best Self and be the employee/leader my team needed if I did not attend to my wellness holistically and make time for my “Self”-care. Through yoga, self-care, and natural wellness practices, I was able to overcome my dark space and emerge as a joyful, well-balanced woman.
And it is my desire to teach other professionals how to achieve this same inner awareness, peace and balance in their own lives despite the chaos they may encounter.
That’s why I decided to specialize in the slower, more nourishing styles of Yin and Restorative yoga. To counteract the fast-paced world that we live in.
Through Yin, I help students confront their own limiting beliefs and strengthen their mind-body connection. By using deeper holds, students are able to increase their range of motion over time.
Through Restorative, I help them to relax and restore their bodies and minds from the wear and tear of their day.
For those who want more fluid movement, I also teach Vinyasa classes that emphasize the connection between the mind and body using our breath (prana or life force) as the link. In this way, students can experience flow and harmony on a deeper level.
The goal of each class is to help students become more mindful of the mind-body-spirit connection. I help students to:
identify their own chitta vritti (thoughts not rooted in truth)
bring awareness to their own samskaras (patterns)
get out of their headspace and descend into their body
become more attuned to their body
use aromatherapy as a means of enhancing their yoga and meditation practices
